Glenda Eoyang, PhD, HSDP, along with Mary Nations, HSD Consulting Associate, and Jennifer Jones-Patulli, HSD Consulting Associate, will be part of the faculty for the Summer Peacebuilding Institute, Session 2.

The political and social worlds of today invite you into action, but what is your unique contribution to a more peaceful and just society? You are pulled in many directions. How do you break out of dialogue only with people who agree with you? How do you use privilege as a bridge to insight and action? What does nonviolent resistance look like when oppression is global, virtual, and constantly evolving? This course will teach you to:

  • Learn what dynamics drive complex change in human systems
  • Recognize and name patterns of oppression that affect you and others
  • Find useful ways to analyze and respond to forces that oppress
  • Practice models and methods to see simple responses to complex challenges
  • Find next wise actions of nonviolent resistance to transform oppression into opportunity
