Online Course

In complex, uncertain, and ambiguous situations, members of groups must still take creative action together. As a facilitator, your job is to help them deal with challenges they face in doing that:

  • Overwhelming urgency and doubt
  • Low trust in high stakes settings
  • Long-term tension and division

Many facilitation tools were designed for a more predictable world. Today’s facilitators need new ways to navigate different ideas, perspectives, and questions to develop creative responses and help groups choose wise actions.

Human Systems Dynamics (HSD) offers skills and tools for generative facilitation at any level. Using HSD helps you, as a facilitator, support complex conversations. When groups are polarized and stuck in intractable challenges, HSD can help you support them in creative, productive action.

This online event is an Adaptive Action Lab. Focusing on your most difficult facilitations, you will learn to see patterns in group relationships and find possibility in those patterns. You will set conditions for groups to find their next wise actions—together. Bring your greatest challenges and leave with a plan of action. You will explore the changing face and function of facilitation in today’s complex landscapes. You will use the tools of HSD to find a powerful new way to facilitate seemingly intractable issues.
