In a world where you deal with forces you can’t see or control, you have to navigate differences that are overwhelming and frightening. In this world you can neither predict nor control your future. In such a turbulent and exciting time, you need to prepare for a future you just cannot see. You must learn to move forward, responding to change and turbulence, even when you develop a plan that can reliably move you into that future. And in the face of all that, you need the anchor or touch point that having a plan gives you.

HSD offers a number of tools and models that help you move forward. Join us in this Adaptive Action Lab to learn new tools to plan for tomorrow and to prepare for an uncertain future. Bring your own most challenging and persistent issues to practice using your new tools and approaches.

  • Challenge your assumptions about the purpose and processes of planning
  • Recognize and respond to patterns of dynamical change
  • Practice models and methods to see, understand, and influence a future you do not control

At the close of the session, you will be prepared to work with others to plan for an unknowable future.

This lab is one in a series of six. To register for the series, click here.
