You recognize the urgency for groups to work together to create a shared future. Yet, the challenges are great. Many forces influence every decision and outcome. Groups are more diverse. History shapes today’s actions and informs future patterns. Differences that emerge often create high stakes for those who are involved. You want to support collaboration and engagement, but traditional facilitation approaches often fall short of addressing these needs.

Human Systems Dynamics (HSD) helps facilitators set conditions to support others in generative decision making and action, even in times of polarization and high-stakes decision making. In this HSD Adaptive Action Lab, you will 1) stand in inquiry to inform excellent facilitation; 2) grant and generate voice for exploring difference; and 3) use simultaneous iterative cycles of observation, reflection, and action to lead to powerful discourse. Bring your most intractable facilitation challenge. You will develop a plan of action as you learn skills, perspectives, models, and methods that HSD offers facilitators.
