Network Board

HSD Institute is pleased to introduce the 2010 Network Board of Directors:

Denise Easton

Denise Easton is chief executive officer and founder of Uliveandlearn, a leading digital learning development and business strategy firm Ms. Easton is regarded as an industry expert and is a frequent speaker and panelist on the topic of technology and effective learning program development.

Before founding ULiveandLearn, Ms. Easton spent more than 15 years in financial services marketing, product development and sales. Easton has also managed national financial services direct marketing programs for television, radio, and print media. Easton received a BA from The College of William and Mary and holds a graduate certificate in public communications from Boston University.
 
Ms. Easton was certified as a Human Systems Dynamics Associate and is currently working on the integration of HSD and technology driven engagement.  In 2009, Denise co-founded a consulting firm focused on the dynamical interplay of learning within complex systems.
 
Ms. Easton is on the board of Nibipedia, a social media video platform, and the network board for the Human Systems Dynamics Institute.

Mary Nations

Mary's passion is to work with organizations and the people in them to be more effective, authentic and flexible in changing environments.  For over two decades, she has worked as a consultant, manager, team player, and coach. She has extensive experience leading change efforts in corporate and nonprofit organizations. Recent work includes facilitating culture change programs, guiding intensive leadership workshops, and collaborating with an internet-based radio show that featuring a broad range of diversity and inclusion topics.

Beverly Parsons

Beverly Parsons is Executive Director of InSites, a seventeen-year-old Colorado-based non-profit organization that promotes learning, growth, and change through inquiry-based evaluation, planning, and research. InSites works with organizations, policymakers, and community groups in the fields of education, social services, and health. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Research and Evaluation (University of Colorado).

Beverly has over 20 years of experience designing and managing large scale national multi-site evaluations. Her current activities include leading the evaluation team for the Quality Improvement Center for Early Childhood and several evaluations with a systems orientation in the field of education. She also has done work internationally including serving as a consultant on assessment policy to the South African Department of Education and conducted evaluations in China, Japan, and Europe.

Prior to working at InSites, Beverly was at the Denver-based Education Commission of the States (ECS) for 10 years working with governors and legislators on education policy and leadership. Previously she was at the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory in Portland, OR. Earlier she lived and worked on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota where she was involved in a drop-out prevention program.

She is currently on the board of the American Evaluation Association. She has a certification through the Human Systems Dynamics Institute and as an Appreciative Inquiry facilitator.
