Awards and Honors
Dr. Eoyang was invited into Circle of Scholars at Union Institute and University as an acknowledgement of the quality and significance of her doctoral dissertation, Conditions for Self-Organizing in Human Systems.
The Organization Development Network ( www.odnetwork.org) identified her in 2007 as a thought leader in the field of organization development and includes a portal on their site to support her work and that of her HSD Associates.
In 2007, she was named an Associate of the Assessment and Evaluation Group, Faculty of Education at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
She is a Research Fellow with the Institute for the Study of Coherence and Emergence (ISCE).
Service
Dr. Eoyang has served as president of the Alumni Association and member of the Board of Visitors and Governors at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM, and Annapolis, MD, where she was granted an Award of Merit in 2003.
She serves on the editorial boards for E:CO and Nonlinear Dynamics journals.
In addition to HSD Institute, she founded the Complexity Consortium (a community of scholar/practitioners who explore applications of complexity to human systems) and the Teaching/Learning Collaborative, a non-profit organization committed to the application of HSD in learning.
Dr. Eoyang has been an invited lecturer/featured speaker at the Brookings Institution, Linkage, NTL Institute, the Centre for Creative Leadership, the International Association of Facilitators, the American Evaluation Association, the Organization Development Network and numerous universities including the University of North Texas, University of Minnesota, various graduate and undergraduate programs including those at the Carlson School of Business, Humphrey Institute for Governmental Affairs, National Multicultural Institute, University of Wisconsin, University of Georgia, Royal Roads University, University of Alaska, Society for Chaos Theory in Psychology and the Life Sciences, and The World Future Society.
She has done presentations at OD Network; International Association of Facilitators; Linkage Best of OD Summit; Complexity Science in Educational Research; Brookings Institution; Cambios organizacionales en sistemas complejos in Monterrey, Mexico, Complexity and Philosophy in Havana, Cuba, and many others.
